WHAT TO EXPECT:  Using a very small needle, XEOMIN will be injected into the muscles, and you will experience only mild discomfort during the injection. Anesthesia and numbing agents are not necessary for XEOMIN injections. The procedure involves multiple fine needle injections, which may cause mild discomfort. It is normal to experience redness and swelling similar to a mosquito bite for 5 to 15 minutes after treatment, and some mild bruising may occur.

The effects of XEOMIN typically last between 3 to 6 months; as muscle contraction gradually returns, lines and wrinkles will reappear, but ongoing treatments can lead to less severe lines and wrinkles as the muscles shrink over time. Neuromodulators do not yield immediate results, and it may take 10 to 14 days to see the full effect; if needed, refinement through additional neurotoxin injections can occur 14 – 20 days after the initial treatment, with associated fees applying.
